How do I enroll?
- Fill out the registration form to register for the upcoming orientation.
- Attend an orientation to take the initial assessments to assess your skills in Reading and Math and find out how to access classes using our online learning system.
What are the costs?
- There is a $40 materials fee for James H. Groves Adult High School classes per semester.
- GED preparation classes are free. There is a $75 fee to take the Official GED Test.
- There is a $35 graduation fee.
How long will it take me to get my diploma or GED?
- For the diploma program, it will depend on how many credits are still needed to achieve the 22 credits needed.
- For the GED program, it will depend on the individual's skills in reading and math.
Will the credits from my previous high school transfer over?
- Yes, most credits earned at the previous high school will transfer over to DCDAL.
How do I complete assignments?
- Students complete assignments online through DCDAL's online learning system.
- Students communicate electronically with instructors through the online learning system and via email.
Where do I take my exams/assessments?
- You can take your exams/assessments at an approved DCDAL location. Exact location will be determined based on student's location.
How many credits can I earn in each semester?
- A student may earn an average of 2 credits per semester.
How many semesters are there in a year?
- There are 4 semesters in a year. Each semester is 10 weeks long.
